Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Green Compute ("we", "us") collects when you use green-compute.com, the dashboard and the API, what we do with it, and your choices. Contact us at sales@green-compute.com with any questions or requests.

What we collect

  • Your account: your email address and name.
    • If you sign up with a password, we store it only as a one-way hash, never the password itself.
    • If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from them.
  • Payments:
    • Balance and transactions: your balance and its history.
    • Card payments: these are handled by Stripe, so we never see your card number. We keep the payment's reference and amount.
    • Crypto payments: we keep the sending address, the amount and the transaction ID. These are public on the blockchain anyway.
    • Verified wallets: we also keep the wallet address and the signature that proved you own it.
  • What you run:
    • Your workloads: the GPU rentals and models you create, their settings, GPU type, start and stop times, status and error messages.
    • Keys and settings you give us: SSH public keys, environment variables and secrets you give us for them (such as a Hugging Face token), and your API keys.
  • Model requests: for each request we keep a record of the time, the model, the API key used, the status, how long it took, and its size (messages and tokens). We don't store the content you send or the replies.
  • If you provide GPUs: your Bittensor hotkey, server details and the information in your provider application.
  • If you contact sales: your name, email address, company and message.
  • Technical data: your IP address and browser details in our server logs, used for security and to prevent abuse.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie, which keeps you signed in. Your light/dark theme choice is saved in your browser. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.

How we use it

  • To provide the service (the contract between us): running your workloads, routing your requests and billing you.
  • To keep the service and its users safe (our legitimate interests): preventing fraud and abuse, and making the service more reliable.
  • To contact you: account emails such as password resets and notices about your account.
  • To meet legal obligations: for example, keeping accounting records.

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use your workloads or model requests to train models.

Who we share it with

  • GPU providers. Your workloads and model requests run on machines operated by us or by independent providers in Bittensor subnet 110. They process what you run on their machines, but they don't get your account details.
  • Service providers who work for us:
    • Vercel (hosting the website)
    • Neon (the website's database)
    • Stripe (card payments)
    • Google and GitHub (if you sign in with them)
    • our email provider (account emails)
    • Hugging Face (downloading models, using a token you give us)
    • blockchain data providers (detecting payments)
  • Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.
  • A buyer or successor, if the service is sold or reorganised. This policy would continue to apply to your data.

Some of these providers are outside the UK and the EU, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

  • While your account is open: we keep your account data.
  • When you delete your account (Settings → Delete account), we erase your personal details straight away: email, name, API keys, verified wallets, saved secrets, SSH keys and workload settings.
  • Payment and usage records are kept under an anonymous ID for as long as accounting and tax law requires (usually six years).
  • Sales enquiries aren't linked to an account; ask us and we'll delete yours.
  • Server logs are kept for a limited time.
  • Rented machine disks are deleted when the rental ends, or after the saved period.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy, or object to or limit how we use it. You can delete your account yourself in Settings; for anything else, email sales@green-compute.com.

If you're in the UK you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), or in the EU to your local data protection authority.

Security

  • Passwords are hashed and connections are encrypted.
  • Access to systems holding personal data is restricted.
  • No system is perfectly secure: please keep your keys and password safe, and tell us at once if you think your account has been accessed.

Children

The service isn't for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when how we handle data changes, and tell you about significant changes by email or in the dashboard. The date at the top shows the latest version.
